This dog was one of 34 rescued from a puppymill on April 10th 2012 that was shut down due to inhumane conditions. Puppymill dogs will take a little extra work the first couple of weeks like taking a young puppy home. Just show them what is expected of them and they will learn very quickly. These guys are all friendly for mill dogs, most will approch you for attention some prefer a slow hand at first, they just need to be shown love, attention and guidance as they enter the world as a pet and and leave the puppy factory world. This dog has had its full medical which includes Vaccinations, up to date with Rabies shot (4 months & older), heartworm tested (4 months & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, and spayed or neutered. Also this pet has been microchipped by 24PetWatch and comes with 30 days of free ShelterCare pet insurance. The adoption fee is $125-175, and all potential adopters are screened carefully. Also these pets are rescues they are not our personal pets we do not know everything about them, what we do know we will list on our web site, if there is nothing listed besides the basic info it is because we do not know anything, only from getting to know the dog we may be able to assume what family would be fitting for them. Most are not in a situation where we can determine if they are housebroken. Few of our rescues are around kids on a regular basis. If we have any history on the dogs we will have it in their bio, most are pulled from a pound, that is all we know. Most are in Multi-dog situation so it is know if they get along with dogs or not. Pet Angels rescue has two main foster location where there may be 30 or more dogs as a low number, it is not visible for us to test to see if all dogs are housebroken as that would require letting them loose and seeing if they soil in our homes, I have approximately 400+ dogs a year come to my home for foster, this would lead to a smelly gross situation, despite cleaning. If a adult dog is not known to be house-trained simply treat it like a puppy for the first week or so, crating while unsupervised and scheduled food and water and things will go fine.
