My story
Laila is a tiny little spitfire ready to find her forever family! She became a Misfit when she and her siblings found themselves abandoned, picked up by animal welfare, and positive for parvo.
Laila is 1 year old and 30 lbs, the perfect size! She is spayed, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!
Laila LOVES other dogs! She loves showing others how fast she can run and how far she can jump, and she is always looking for a good wrestle match. When Laila came home with her foster mom, she was absolutely terrified of everything, including much human touch. We believe she lived most of her short life shoved in a backyard with very little human interaction. She was starving at only 5 pounds, when all of her siblings were twice her size. But all of that is behind her now! She can be slow to warm up to new people, but as long as she is given some space to figure out strangers on her own, she does fine. She will need a patient home that realizes she may never be a lover of strangers, but if you are in this girl’s inner friend circle she will love you forever! And she’s still young, so as more time passes and she realizes humans aren’t all bad, she may do okay with everyone.
Laila lives with foster siblings of all sizes and gets along with everyone. She may be small, but she is mighty and spunky for sure! She loves to eat and she loves to tell her foster mom when she’s not paying enough attention to her. Laila lives with cats and so far she has pretty much ignored them. She hasn’t lived with children, but will probably do better with older kids that she can’t knock down and that won’t be bothered if she gives a little nibble or jumps up on them.
Laila is house and kennel trained. Laila is still working to learn the world really isn’t all that scary, so she hasn’t tackled the leash yet. Laila had a start to life that no animal deserves and we just want her to find the most amazing home that will show her love for her entire life.
