My story
Those big doey eyes and adorable face belong to a little darling named Sissy. Sissy may look like a dog, but if she could talk, she would tell you that she is also a cat as well! This cutie has some dynamic sides to her personality. The dog in her is pure and so carefree! Sissy is very much a dog's dog, as she bonds closely with other dogs and becomes their shadows almost. She loves to play and run around with her canine buddies with a smile on her face and a pep in her step. Sissy particular loves dog friends that are larger than her, but she has gotten along great with dogs her size as well. Her canine side loves to chew on toys and do zoomies around the house with her pack. Sissy has also learned how to walk well on a leash and is crate trained and house trained. Sissy's cat like side is what causes her to love to lounge on large pillows, curl up and hide under a blanket for nap time, and her aversion to being held. She prefers to have her own body autonomy and doesn't fit into your traditional "small dog" mold. Sissy spent some amount of time as a stray before coming to Oklahoma Humane Society and this has caused her to be cautious of humans, loud noises, new and strange places and situations. This little girl prefers to romp around all on her own over being carried and cuddled. Like a cat though, once Sissy has had a chance to get to know her new surroundings and people she doesn't mind curling up next to them on the couch at night, as long as there aren't any loud noises or scary and fast movements. Sissy is looking for her forever home where she will have a pack all her own of dog buddies to run around and play with. She also wouldn't mind if there were plenty of cozy and cushy places to hide when she is ready for nap time. Her best fit will be a home with no human children.
